We learned that after doing a little research to see if Emily was going to get it a second time. She probably won’t. Shingles can appear in times of stress for one in ten adults. Good to know. We were only a little worried because Emily had been spending much of her free time trying to cheer up the four girls at Shunem who had them. Radhika, Monika, Soni, and Moni all had it. Until they got better (within the last couple days) they spent most of their time locked in their room to ensure that not too many kids would have it at the same time. The door to our room is right by the window to the sick room, so whenever we were coming or going they would rush over and say “Hi akka! Hello anna!” It started to get too sad seeing them locked up, so Emily decided to let them out for some fresh air more often. She brought them books, let them color, sang with them, and kept their spirits up. One day became picture day, and they all had a great time. Enjoy…
